MOULIN DE BELARD

A functional windmill from 1630 and restored by an association, now communal property. The only windmill that makes flour in any kind of weather. Observation of the differences of 12 woods, 9 cereals and history of its rehabilitation.

About

The oldest beams of this mill date back to 1630 and was moved to the present site at the end of the 19th century and operated until 1947.
Left abandoned, it is a ruined tower that the association has restored. Property of the commune, this monument benefited from the labour of the AFPA to rebuild its frame and mechanism. Its roof is orientated, its wings turn and it makes again flour.
For the children : Making flour, separating the bran, observing the various woods and 9 cereals, the origin of the winds...
