The Haute-Garonne by water!

Between Languedoc and Gascony, from Comminges to the Volvestre, along an axis running from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the outskirts of Toulouse, the slopes of Gascony cradle the river Garonne. From the Pyrenees, from one town to another, the watercourse crosses the Comminges, from Montréjeau to Saint-Gaudens, Saint-Martory, Martres-Tolosane, Cazères, Rieux-Volvestre, Muret then comes to Toulouse. Here the Canal du midi takes over, from lock to lock, from the urban area into the countryside of the Lauragais with, at the end, Sète in focus. The work, classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site, can be explored by barge or boat, by bike or on foot, at the rhythm of nature
