Park and garden
JARDIN ROYAL
A haven of peace in the heart of the city, this remarkable garden offers up its green setting for all your contemplations.
About
The first public garden in Toulouse, the Royal Garden was created by Louis de Mondran in 1754 and then transformed into an English garden in the 19th century.
Decorated with a duck pond, a pretty bridge, beautiful forged iron benches that ingeniously act as a railing, this small garden also houses statues, including those in honor of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and his Little Prince or Deodat de Séverac.
Its remarkable garden label is confirmed by numerous tree species such as ginkgo biloba, hackberry, Lebanese cedar, tulip tree, Virginia tulip tree, and Osage orange tree.
As a little extra, the Grand Rond and the Jardin des Plantes can be reached by taking the footbridges that link them.
