CHURCH OF BRUGUIERES MUSEUM

The Bruguières church houses a surprising museum. Located under a converted porch of the church, it contains liturgical and archaeological treasures: Merovingian sarcophagus from the 4th Century, a polished stone hatchet that is 4000 years old, a cleaver that is 300,000 years old, clothing, the former church clock, 17th Century book on the history of Bruguières… the thing which is the most remarkable in this museum is a polychrome statue from the 14th Century, representing Notre Dame de Grace (the origin of a pilgrimage).
