CADOURS COVERED MARKET

Discover an astonishing Greek Revival architecture. With its columns with Doric capitals, this beautiful brick hall evokes a Greek temple.

About

In 1827 a royal decree allowed the creation of a weekly market at Cadours on Wednesdays. Given the success of this market, it was decided to build a market hall, which was constructed in 1830. The Halle aux Marchands, classified as a historical monument, was designed by the architect Cambon.
Today it welcomes the traders of the weekly market and the festivals and events of Cadours.
